STS "Akogare" Osaka/Busan Youth Exchange
in commemoration of the Year of Japan-Korea National Exchange in 2002

In commemration of the Year of Japan-Korea National Exchange in 2002, the City of Osaka will host the sail training voyages of STS "Akogare" conneting Osaka and Busan, Korea in August, 2002. Young Korean, Japanese and Korean Residents in Japan between 16 and 35 years old will be on board. They will face the difference in language and culture while they sail the "Akogare".

There are two groups: the First Group from Osaka to Busan starting on August 6 ending on August 19 and the Second from Busan to Osaka starting on August 17 ending on August 30. In Busan, the First Group will have an public opportunity to show their achievement or impression about the voyage. The Second Group will also have the similar opportunity in Osaka after the voyage

While they are at sea, "Ship's Log" of this site will report their life on time.
