The ship arrived in San Francisco two days
earlier than expected.
STS Akogare arrived in San Francisco at 0930
hours May 24 local time (0130 hours May 25
JST), two days earlier than the initial ETA
May 26. At the arrival, it was difficult
to get on berth due to the fast tide. Capt.
Kita reported that it is windy with sea breeze
daytime.
In Honolulu, 22 trainees from Osaka to Honolulu,
4 volunteer staff members and 6 permanent
crew members disembarked the ship, and 7
permanent crew members and 4 relief crew
members delivered the ship to San Francisco.
STS Akogare is leaving the port at 1000 hours
June 1local time, heading for
the next port of call: Balboa, Panama, ETA
June 21.
