The programs we offer are:

Introductory programs 1 to 4 days Eligibility: 10 years old or more The 1-day course starts off with a tour of "Akogare", and our aim is to interest the trainees through rope work and instructions on the very first steps to sail handling. This experience will include a 4-hour motor-sailing with lunch in between. The course accommodates 60 people. Overnight courses offer the basic works necessary for sailing such as navigation, star watching at night, deck scrubbing and galley work, in addition to the contents of the 1- day course. These courses accommodate 35 people.

Ocean programs 5 days and more Eligibility: 16 years old or more In addition to the basic work experienced in the introductory programs, the trainees get accustomed to the watch, work aloft the mast and experience steering, which are only offered in these courses. If conditions are good, there may be a "Trainees' Day" in which "Akogare" will be operated solely by trainees. Sailing the ocean can be both fun and fascinating with the sports competition and farewell party adding another level of entertainment.

Individual application Select the course/courses you want to join from the Sailing Schedule. Print out the Application Form, fill it in and fax it back to us at (06) 6615-5384. Please make sure you indicate your second choice in case the first one is already full. Also, please note that applications by phone or e-mail are not accepted. Group application The number of people that can apply in a group is: Minimum 20 and maximum 40 in 1-day courses Minimum 10 and maximum 25 in overnight courses 10% discount is applied to the participation fee. Charter application Application will be accepted as a "chartered voyage" for those who wish to sail in a special group other than the pre-scheduled courses. Application at least three months in advance is appreciated and the participation fee will be different from the pre-scheduled courses. Participation in events STS "Akogare" may join various events as long as the purpose of participation is primarily sail training. When the venue is outside Osaka, travelling cost will also be required. Please contact us for detailed consultation at least 6 months in advance.
